Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children and utilizing child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many awards and grants. She has worked with many governments and organizations across the world on policy and research relating to children who are people who are victims of the law. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a part of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
